FRENCH COUNTRY CUSTOM HOME

Before A thirty year old house was situated on three acres of land.
Client Needs The owner, who wanted a French country, two-story home, asked us for advice on whether to remodel or subdivide the lot, then build a new house and sell off the remaining parcel.
Approach George Sundquist recommended the latter. The client lived in the old house while the new home was being built.
After With excellent architectural design, we created a structure that’s graced with a steep mansard roof and tall chimneys — the signature of a French country home. The interior is generous: large kitchen eating area, pantry and laundry room, study, big family room, dining and living rooms, and master bedroom with his and her bathrooms.
Upstairs are six bedrooms to accommodate five children, three bathrooms, an exercise room, two staircases — one on a half circle, the other leading to the kitchen. Outside is a tennis court, swimming pool and playground area. The finished home is just under 10,000 square feet.
